Congratulations to Amber & Matt!

Their October wedding brought together all the things that matter most to them: their family, close friends, and the beautiful fall foliage that Lone Summit Ranch makes look so good. (And if Matt could have added fishing to that list he probably would have 😉)

Amber & Matt live outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and from the very first time we FaceTimed together I could tell that their connection was powerful and lasting. Matt has a quiet and confident personality and you can tell that his world revolves around the leading ladies in his life (and QuikTrip, and fishing). Amber has a kind thoughtful heart and together these two make an unstoppable team.

While visiting family in KC back in May 2019, I stole these two away to capture their engagement session. Little did we know that there was a stowaway on that session! Yes, Amber was pregnant!

Any couple would be shocked by this news, but things with Amber & Matt always seem to land right side up. Amber gave birth to their daughter Olivia just three weeks before their wedding! Now, traveling with a brand new infant is a feat unto itself. But traveling to your wedding three weeks after giving birth? Yes, Amber is a real life super hero.

On Amber & Matt’s wedding day, again everything fell into perfect place. The morning started out chilly, but by the time we began photos the sky was blue and the sun was shining. Amber & Matt found such perfect ways to let their daughter be a part of their day. She accompanied Amber to her first look with her husband-to-be, and Matt walked baby Olivia down the aisle before marrying the woman of his dreams.

Now, I get emotional at wedding ceremonies as it is, but when I heard Matt whisper to Olivia “Here comes your mommy!” as Amber walked down the aisle, I just about lost it.

Amber & Matt and their friends and family celebrated well into the night toasting and dancing and indulging on three (yes three!) varieties of dessert. The entire day was full of joy and love, and I was honored to be a part of it.

Amber’s two pennies were procured by both Amber and Matt’s mothers. The small pink bag that carried them was sewn from one of Amber’s baby blankets.
