Some things have a simply perfect way of falling into place. Like a chance online match that becomes your spouse 6 years later. Like a rainy spring week turning into a perfectly sunny weekend. Like thinking you’re going on a simple SCUBA adventure, only to find out that the real adventure is being proposed to! (Can you tell that all of these things are parts of Samantha & Rob’s love story?)
One thing that definitely fell into place for these two is that this weekend, one year later than expected, Samantha & Rob tied the knot on the most perfect day imaginable. Samantha & Rob’s beautiful countryside spring wedding was sandwiched by two cold, rainy days. (The weather was so bad the day before that I kept checking the next day’s weather to make sure it really was going to be 70 and sunny!) But the sun did indeed come out and Samantha & Rob’s wedding day was filled with sunshine, spring blooms, laughter, food trucks (!), and – most importantly – love!
One thing I absolutely love about countryside estate weddings is how relaxing they are! Because Samantha & Rob’s entire wedding day was in one beautiful location, we were able to explore the entire property for their portraits. ON the morning of their wedding day, after they each got ready separately, we began Samantha & Rob’s portraits near the barn for their first look. Next we explored the apple orchards, which were just beginning to bloom, before heading down near the pond for wedding party portraits. Family formals were back up at the orchard and completed before the ceremony!
After a beautiful ceremony inside the barn, Samantha & Rob coordinated an olive leaf exit (so fun!) just in time for two FOOD TRUCKS to arrive for the reception’s meal. (What a great way to provide freshly prepared variety on the dinner menu!) After cake cutting, toasts, and dances, we snuck out for a few final sunset portraits to celebrate the newlyweds! Another thing that fell into place perfectly for these two? Fields of nettle surrounding the farm were in full bloom on their wedding day. The blooms would literally die away just days after! And you better believe we captured some gorgeous portraits in them!
A HUGE thank you to the team that made this day extra wonderful!
