10.19.19 was a celebration 8 years in the making! That day, Kat & Drake, two high school sweethearts, tied the knot surrounded by dear friends and family both here and far.

After Kat & Drake saw each other for the first time they exchanged their vows privately in the garden at Magnolia. As part of her vows, Kat read Drake a letter she wrote to her future husband when she was just 13 years old! She didn’t know Drake then, but Drake lives up to the man she described and hoped for in her letter – and then some. These two are an amazing, grounded, genuine, kind, and generous couple that pour their hearts and minds into the things they hold most dear.

I’m so honored to have been a part of their wedding day capturing their real love in moments and memories that they’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Kat’s wedding day details were full of sentimentality. Her shoes were worn by her mother on her wedding day! And her mirror and necklace were her late grandmother’s.

Both Kat & Drake warned me separately before their first look that there would be lots of tears. I don’t think ANY of us were ready for the wave of emotion that struck us all as Kat & Drake saw each other for the first time on their wedding day and privately exchanged their vows.

Kat & Drake had the most stunning weather for their courtyard ceremony! Their longtime pastor married these longtime lovebirds after Kat’s father walked her down the aisle.

Afterwards we raced across the street to capture their first moments as husband and wife just as the sun was setting!
