a colorful countryside wedding // Kansas City
June 1, 2022
At long last, after years of engagement, planning, rescheduling, and pivoting, Kaitlyn & Connor are finally married!! These two lovebirds originally planned to get married last May, when we all thought that surely the pandemic would be a thing of the past. Well, the pandemic proved us all wrong. And through it all Kaitlyn & Connor remained steadfast in their commitment to each other. Their top priority for their wedding day (aside from getting married of course!) was being able to celebrate the day with their friends and family.
Their Farmhouse KC celebration was well worth the wait! Kaitlyn & Connor’s wedding day was truly special to capture. Their long-awaited first look left everyone in tears because it was so special to witness. And the portraits we captured soaking up those initial emotions were so beautiful and some of my favorite of the day!
We totally lucked out with the weather (it wasn’t too windy for once!) and had the most perfect day for Kaitlyn & Connor’s outdoor ceremony under the tree canopy. Afterwards the ceremony guests enjoyed a lovely reception complete with stunning floral arrangements adorning every table. And if you haven’t noticed yet, Kaitlyn & Connor’s wedding color palette was so much fun! I loved the intricate variety of colors and textures mixed into all of the floral arrangements.
During dinner, Kaitlyn & Connor snuck outside to spend a little extra time alone on their wedding day. We took advantage of the property’s gorgeous landscape and soaked in that gorgeous glow that only happens at golden hour. It was the perfect cap to the most perfect day!
A HUGE thank you to the team that made this day spectacular!
