There’s a lot I could say about Abbey & Ben’s beautiful June wedding day. It was elegant, timeless, and beautifully detailed. The wedding mass was touching. The Abbott was impeccably decorated.
But those details don’t even scratch the surface.
What matters most about Abbey & Ben’s wedding day was the way it made you feel. From the moment I walked into Abbey’s pre-ceremony suite I was greeted with hugs, excitement, and repeated invitations to get a permanent friendship bracelet. (Abbey treated her bridesmaids to this fun memory!) After about the third urging I gave into my temptations and got one. It may seem like a small act of kindness, but this tells you so much about Abbey and her family. They are quick to welcome anyone into their circle and make them feel welcome!
Abbey & Ben’s wedding mass were the part of the day they were most looking forward to. From our very first meeting they let me know that saving their first look for the altar was a priority to them. And wow was it worth the wait! The love these two shared as they locked eyes down the aisle radiated, and it was a beautiful moment to capture and witness.
After the mass, we whisked off to the Kauffman Center for portraits before joining friends and family at The Abbott. Every toast was a testament to the love and kindness Abbey & Ben put out into the world. Their first dance as husband and wife was choreographed beautifully. And their dance floor was packed all night long until their sparkler exit.
These are the days that make me feel so lucky to do what I do. I get to spend some of the best days with the very best people. People I’d never meet if I wasn’t a photographer.
There is no doubt that Abbey & Ben’s love with go the distance. These two truly were made for each other, and I can’t wait to see where life takes them!
A huge thank you to the team that made this day wonderful!
