If you recall, Sarah & Adam’s first date lasted 14 hours. So it’s no surprise that they turned their wedding celebration into a two-day affair to remember! And they filled nearly every moment with unforgettable surprises for their guests.
On Friday, the couple brought together their closest friends and family for their rehearsal on the west lawn of the Nelson-Atkins Museum. Both Sarah & Adam are avid patrons of the arts, so it was only fitting that they host their wedding celebration at Kansas City’s largest art museum.
But this was no rehearsal 😉 Just after Sarah walked down the aisle with her father, Adam turned to their audience of guests and told them the surprise: Sarah & Adam were actually going to share their vows that evening! After a moving ceremony officiated by a dear friend, Sarah & Adam captured photos with their families and friends before their “rehearsal” dinner celebration.
Come Saturday, all the pressure was off and it was time to have fun!
Sarah & Adam got ready separately – Sarah with her bridesmaids at the Intercontinental Hotel and Adam with his groomsmen at their new home in Leawood. The two shared a heartfelt first look outside the Nelson before their wedding party joined them for portraits. You may notice a surprising guest among Sarah & Adam’s wedding party. Sarah’s sister was unable to attend their wedding due to a high-risk pregnancy, so she surprised the couple with a cardboard cutout of herself!
After portraits Sarah & Adam held a small welcome ceremony for all of their guests during cocktail hour in Rozelle Court. Then, after Sarah changed into her second look of the day, the newlyweds were led into their gorgeous reception by the Jafra Dabke Team. Guests joined in the fun and surrounded Sarah & Adam as they cut their show-stopping cake with Sarah’s father’s sword. The fun didn’t stop there, though! Lost Wax kept the dance floor full all night long until Sarah & Adam’s grand exit to their vintage red car.
This dynamic duo filled their wedding celebration with so many beautiful moments and surprises for their friends and family. It was truly the most beautiful weekend shared with the most important people in their lives. Cheers to the newlyweds!
