I love capturing real, raw, radiant moments for the brightest of souls with the biggest of love. Learn more...
Abbey & Jordan’s Kansas City Country Club wedding was the epitome of timeless, effortless, elegance. If you’re wondering what my dream color palette and dream wedding aesthetic would be, well, you’re looking at it 😉
Abbey & Jordan wanted their day to feel classic, romantic, and full of personal touches and thoughtful details. Abbey’s favorite color is dusty blue, and the entire vision for the day centered around this stunning hue. (Seriously, I just can’t get enough of it!) Abbey & Jordan’s most personal addition to the day was giving their pup Ellie her own first look with her humans! Ellie’s full name is “Elevator”, named after the very spot where Jordan and Abbey met by chance in their post-college apartment complex! Talk about fate, right?
Aside from sweet Ellie pup (who, let’s be honest, stole the show!) Abbey infused her wedding day with tons of other special details from her monogrammed bouquet wrap to her mother’s own “something borrowed” Belgian lace veil. The couple also fashioned custom cocktail napkins and wax seals to their hand-calligraphed invitations. Every last detail was truly thought through!
Abbey & Jordan opted to have as many photos captured before the ceremony (including most family formal portraits) so they could enjoy a portion of their cocktail hour with their guests. I love when couples are able to do this. It’s such a wonderful opportunity to connect and enjoy with the guests you so lovingly invited to share in your wedding celebration.
But before it was time for Abbey & Jordan’s grand entrance, we whisked them away on a golf cart to capture one-of-a-kind sunset portraits on KCCC’s golf course! Abbey has fond memories of sledding on the steeper hills of the property when she was younger, and I love that she now has new memories to add to some of these spots. At sunset the golf course was peacefully deserted, which meant we were able to take full advantage of KCCC’s stunning property! You’ve just got to see the images we captured during this extra portrait time!
Once we safely returned A&J to their reception, the couple was treated to heartfelt (and hilarious) toasts from their friends & family before sharing in their first dance under string lights on the clubhouse’s patio. From there, the dance floor transformed into an epic celebration til the very end!
Abbey & Jordan bid goodbye to their guests via a sparkler exit right into their getaway car. From start to finish their wedding day was everything they could have dreamed of and more. It was truly an honor to capture this magical day for them. Cheers to the newlyweds!
A HUGE thank you to the team that made this day spectacular!
