Meet Katie & Jack, two of the cutest lovebirds these side of the Mississippi!
These two lovebirds have deep roots in Kansas City, where they grew up together, but now call Dallas home. Scheduling a hometown engagement session during a pandemic could have been tricky for these two, but they turned it into a relaxing getaway!
They began their road trip driving to Colorado for the long weekend (where they were greeted with a September snowstorm?) They then drove east to Kansas City to see family to enjoy an evening exploring some of the city’s most landmark spots (the Nelson-Atkins and The Scout) with me.
Thankfully the city pulled out all the stops to welcome Katie & Jack home for their engagement session. I mean, just LOOK!
the nelson-atkins museum
Our first stop was the ever-gorgeous Nelson-Atkins Museum’s sculpture garden. Golden hour on these grounds is unmatched and I loved getting to capture these two in such a beautiful space!
Jack picked out Katie’s ring with the help of Katie’s sister. I think we can all agree that it’s an absolutely stunning, classic choice. For me, yellow gold feels more classic and elegant, especially when paired with a beautiful oval cut center stone!
the scout
Our second stop was capturing the KC skyline at The Scout. I so appreciated Katie & Jack’s willingness to explore the park around this iconic KC landmark. It was well worth it 🙂
congratulations to Katie & Jack!
I can’t wait for Katie & Jack’s wedding next summer alongside Nellie Sparkman‘s expert coordination! And shout out to Brigid of Bronzed + Blushed for making our girl look extra gorgeous!
And can’t get enough of these two lovebirds? Check out their WEDDING DAY!
