What do you get when you take the sweetest couple, toss in their good boi Cisco, mix in a little sunrise haze, and set it down in one of the most photogenic spots in all of Central Park?
You get Hana & Robb’s engagement session 🙂
And guys, this is a special one.
I met Hana & Robb through pure kismet back in 2021 when I photographed Hana’s sister Dina’s wedding. I wasn’t Dina and her husband Tony’s original photographer, but fate (and hey we can thank COVID for this too) brought us together. Their wedding day was an absolute joy to be a part of, and I sincerely hoped my journey with Dina & Tony’s tribe didn’t end after the fireworks.
Fast forward to earlier this year when Hana and Robb got engaged! I crossed my fingers I’d hear from Hana and sure enough I got the sweetest text asking if I’d capture this time in her and Robb’s life. It was one of the easiest yeses I’ve ever said!
Hana and Robb live in New York City with their beloved pup Cisco, right near Central Park. When they found out Vince and I would be traveling to NYC for our 9 year anniversary, it felt like fate was again smiling on us to make this trip be the moment we captured their engagement! As the date grew closer, rain threatened to postpone our plans. But they actually worked in our favor! Between the threat of rain and the overall haze blanketing the city, Central Park was all but empty on the (early) morning I met Hana & Robb at Bethesda Fountain. It felt so magical to have the place all to ourselves! And I loved how it gave us so much room to cavort and create beautiful portraits that capture Hana & Robb’s playful selves.
Towards the end of the session, as the city was waking up and slowly slipping into the park, their pup Cisco joined us at the Conservatory Pond! This sweet boi was camera ready and such a needed addition to this moment. You can’t have an engagement session without including your fur babies; I simply won’t allow it!
These images barely scratch the surface of the pile of gems we created on that beautiful morning. I’m so in love!
