There’s nowhere I’d rather be this past week than behind my camera! Getting to photograph so many wonderful, loving, gracious couples in the same season has been a true honor and joy. I freaking LOVE my job! And last night’s engagement session (my last one for a bit!) was the cherry on top.
Ellie & Cullen are one of those couples that just gets it. Being around them, you can tell they’re total pros at this love and partnership thing. They just know and love each other in a way that only a true partner can.
You see, Ellie & Cullen have known each other for over 16 years. (That’s almost twice as long as I’ve known my own husband – of 7 years!) They’ve literally grown up together, which means they’ve grown together into the steadfast relationship they have now. Just imagine where their marriage will take them with that kind of foundation!
Because Ellie & Cullen have so many memories together across Kansas City, it was easy to pick spots for their engagement session that would be sentimental to them. At the top of the list was Loose Park. Ellie & Cullen’s friend groups spent many a wild night at the park growing up (well, as wild as you can get on a weeknight in Kansas City). Our second spot was the WWI Memorial to capture the entire city skyline.
Ellie & Cullen’s wedding day will be this December at the President Hotel – another Kansas City icon. And the ever-talented Nellie Sparkman will be leading a killer team of pros!
After last week’s fun with these two, I’m even more excited for their big day, and I’m so glad I won’t have to wait too long for it to be here!
CHEERS TO ELLIE & CULLEN!
Can’t get enough of Ellie & Cullen? Check out their wedding day!!
