Last night I got to spend the most incredibly perfect fall evening with the most incredibly wonderful couple to celebrate their engagement. I seriously could not think of a better way to spend one of fall’s final days!

Neither Kathryn nor Brandon are from Kansas City, actually. The couple met over 5 years ago in Birmingham. Just one week before Kathryn moved up to Kansas City to work on her PhD, Brandon proposed to her! They decided to get married in Kansas City to create a destination for their guests (and to make it easier for Kathryn to plan while she’s here). Regardless of their reasons, I’m so very glad that our paths have crossed and that I get to celebrate this exciting time in Kathryn & Brandon’s lives!

Loose Park

We began Kathryn & Brandon’s engagement session at Loose Park. The roses are just starting to wilt away for the year, but we were able to soak in the final blooms of the season. These two had never been to Loose Park before, and Ioved getting to show off this gorgeous little spot to them.

Kathryn & Brandon’s outfits popped perfectly against the park’s vibrant foliage! I loved their combination of blues and whites, which are the perfect complement to fall’s oranges and reds.

Right away I could tell that this was going to be such a fun evening with these two. Not only are Kathryn & Brandon total naturals in front of the camera, but they’re just total naturals with each other! Their chemistry is the stuff dreams are made of, and it shows in their images.
