After two years of planning, Dina & Tony finally got to hold the celebration of their dreams! And wow did they pull out all the stops. The couple chose a vibrant color palette that rivaled their wedding party’s energy and enthusiasm (they were seriously such a fun crew!) and placed it in the most beautiful and true-to-them setting: Tony’s godparent’s private ranch. Then they filled that space with their very dearest families and closest friends. And that winning combination was pure magic and FUN!
But these two didn’t anticipate having to wait so long to tie the knot. You see, their original date was nearly a year ago. Like so many couples, they pivoted their celebration to 2021. But as they got deeper into planning their rescheduled celebration, they realized that the day just didn’t feel true to them.
So, Dina & Tony made another pivot and scrapped all their plans! Instead of an upstate New York affair, they opted for an intimate celebration on Tony’s godparents’ private ranch outside of Kansas City. The Trott family were gracious hosts to all of Dina & Tony’s friends and family, and they pulled out all of the stops to make this celebration extra special. The Trott’s own daughter actually got married on the property nearly 7 years ago, so they had a little experience under their belt. And I bet they loved having another special milestone for their family celebrated on their beautiful property. The Trott’s own home served as the perfect getting ready spot for Dina & Tony and their wedding party. The guys stayed hidden in the basement (so Dina and Tony wouldn’t see each other!) while the girls got to enjoy the master suite and all of its pampering perks.
After first looks with their respective parents, Dina & Tony enjoyed a little extra time with their wedding parties and immediate families for pre-ceremony portraits. Tony’s godfather served as officiant at their ceremony overlooking the pond. After post-ceremony wedding party and family portraits, we got to take full advantage of the gorgeous property for newlyweds portraits – my favorite! We even got to ride around on a gator to get to more spots more quickly.
After sunset, the ranch’s riding ring was transformed into a beautiful tented reception space. Dina’s vibrant color palette brought life to the neutral silk tent. Gold-rimmed glasses matched the gold chargers that held a delicious plated dinner. Dina & Tony received toasts from both of their fathers, Tony’s two best men (his best friends from elementary school!) and Dina’s sister. And then it was time for dancing! And WOW did their guests dance the night away on a packed dance floor! I’ve never seen a dance floor so full; it was impressive! It almost felt like a sport to dive in and out of openings in the crowd to capture some epic dance floor moments.
To close out the wedding (but before the after party!) Dina & Tony had a very special surprise for their guests before the sparkler exit! But I won’t give it away 😉 you’ve got to see it for yourself!
a HUGE thank you to the team that made this day exceptional!
