Maddie & Alex’s beautiful wedding day was everything this couple could have imagined and more! From their meaningful ceremony at their family church St. Michael the Archangel to their stunning (and fun!) wedding reception at The President hotel and everything in between, it was simply perfect.

Maddie & Alex both spent the morning getting ready separately – Maddie at The President, and Alex and their home. Maddie’s gown was extra stunning with its detachable train. I love a girl that brings a little drama to her classic wedding look 🙂 And this meant both Maddie & Alex had outfit changes throughout the day! Maddie changed out of her train (and dress shoes) and Alex changed out of his Marine dress blues and into a black tuxedo.

After getting dressed, and capturing some beautiful bridal portraits, Maddie headed to their church early to share in a very special first look with her father (you’re going to need a tissue for those photos!) before Alex arrived. The couple saved their first look for the aisle, which was so sweet.

After the ceremony, Maddie & Alex enjoyed portrait time with their wedding party, and then a little bit of portrait time to themselves. We captured these moments inside the courtyard of St. Michael. I love that every time these two go to church, they’ll be filled with so many memories from their wedding day (and they’ll have the photos to help). Once we returned the The President Hotel, Alex changed out of his dress blues and into a dapper black tuxedo for the evening’s festivities. And before any guests entered the reception space, they were able to see it for themselves in all of its decorated splendor!

Maddie & Alex’s reception was full of touching and epically fun moments. This couple’s crew sure knows how to fill a dance floor! And we even found time to sneak out and capture some beautiful golden hour portraits with these two lovebirds. But my favorite part of the evening? The toasts.

The toasts shared at the reception were a testament not only to the characters of Maddie & Alex, but to the families that raised them. Both Maddie & Alex are incredibly caring, dedicated, and driven individuals. They’ve set huge goals for themselves, and met them all with the help and support of their families. It’ll be a beautiful thing to see what these two accomplish in their marriage and their future family together.
