After months of hoping, waiting, and rescheduling, Maddie & Alex finally got to enjoy their engagement session on Sunday evening! We’ve been hoping for this day since I began working with M&A in January and WOW was it well worth the wait!
But why did they have to wait so long?
For months Alex has been away from home training to become a Marine. Now that he has completed his training and joined the Reserves (congratulations!) he is finally back home in KC with his bride-to-be. I can only imagine how painful those months apart must have been for Maddie & Alex.
But all of those weekends apart, long phone calls, and snail mail are in the past and now we’re focusing on Maddie & Alex’s future! I am so very glad that fall’s foliage turned late this year. It’s like Mother Nature was waiting for Alex to come home so these two could have beautiful fall engagement portraits together!
Nelson-Atkins Museum
We began their session at the stunning Nelson-Atkins Museum surrounded by the most STUNNING fall display. It was the perfect pairing with the museum’s classic facades and Maddie’s adorable burgundy dress. As you can imagine, the museum was a popular place to be on such a lovely Sunday evening, but we managed to work among the crowds and find all of my favorite little spots.
CHEERS TO MADDIE & ALEX!
Can’t get enough of these two? Check out their wedding day!
