I love capturing real, raw, radiant moments for the brightest of souls with the biggest of love. Learn more...
On Saturday Rachel & Ben took their relationship (that’s over a decade in the making!) to the next level. These high school sweethearts are married!!! It was the most beautiful day from the very beginning, and it just kept getting better!
Throughout the morning, everyone was refreshing their weather apps religiously. No one could guess when the rain would stop, and we were all crossing our fingers that we’d have dry skies after the ceremony. Rachel got ready at her childhood home, not far from the spot where Rachel & Ben first started dating back in high school (which later became the place where Ben proposed to Rachel!)
Right before the ceremony, Rachel shared an extra special first look with her father. Back in December, Rachel’s dad had the health scare of a lifetime. So much so that it was uncertain whether he’d be able to walk her down the aisle. But he made a promise to Rachel that he would, and a miracle happened that made it possible. After learning this story, every moment I captured between Rachel & Ben and their families felt all the more special and important. These moments of shared connection truly do matter. Rachel’s first look with her father didn’t leave a dry eye in the room (myself included) and I’ll never forget the feeling of gratitude it gave me.
After Rachel & Ben’s beautiful ceremony, sporting their new titles as husband & wife, they headed north for post-ceremony portraits with their wedding party. With every mile, the clouds seemed to literally part before our eyes! We ended up with the most perfect afternoon celebrating with Rachel & Ben’s awesome wedding party at the WWI Memorial and Kauffman Center.
These newlyweds closed the night with the most beautiful and FUN reception at Magnolia! Yesterday was truly a magical day thanks to this wonderful couple!
A HUGE thank you to the team that made this day an absolute blast!
