Yesterday was an absolute DREAM! And not just any dream. I’m talking about the kind that you never want to wake up from, and yet you spring out of bed early the next morning to start culling images to relive the magic again and again 🙂
Okay, am I the only one who has dreams like that?
But seriously, Kellyanne & Kevin’s wedding day was pure perfection from start to finish. We began the day getting ready downtown surrounded by Kellyanne’s ultimate hype crew – her closest friends and family. It felt extra special for me to capture moments shared between Kellyanne and her sister Karleigh. These two sisters are just over a year apart in age, and have been mistaken for twins their entire lives. The bond they share is incomparable, and I just know that Kellyanne’s wedding day is an unforgettable memory that they’ll cherish forever.
Kellyanne & Kevin had their first look at the Nelson-Atkins Museum, followed by wedding party portraits. It was a hot day (I broke a new heat record of 97°!) but the smiles stayed fresh on their amazing wedding party. I couldn’t have asked for a more fun group to spend the day with! And after we sent the wedding party back on the bus, Kellyanne & Kevin got to steal a few quiet moments together on their wedding day while we captured more portraits in the Nelson’s sculpture garden.
After portraits, we met up at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Kansas City. If you’re from Kansas City, you know of this iconic gold-domed church. The exterior alone is a KC landmark, and somehow the interior is even more beautiful! Kellyanne & Kevin’s ceremony was a beautiful mass complete with a beautiful string quartet and readings from close family members, including Kellyanne’s sister Karleigh.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party spent some much-needed time celebrating around town on their party bus while I headed to the reception to capture decor details and cocktail hour. Kellyanne’s mother is a former florist, and she created all of the floral decor for the ceremony and reception.
When the wedding party arrived at the reception, we snuck Kellyanne & Kevin outside for a few sunset portraits before DJ Alex Reed got the party going.
Kellyanne & Kevin’s wedding day was a beautifully executed family celebration from start to finish. And it’s not surprising that Kellyanne & Kevin have such a wonderful crew surrounding them. They’re both such genuinely beautiful people inside and out. Capturing their wedding day was a true honor that I won’t forget anytime soon!⠀

And can’t get enough of these two lovebirds? Check out their engagement session!
Kellyanne helped both her mother and sister finished getting dressed. The bond these three share is a beautiful thing to witness.
And then it was their turn to get Kellyanne into her wedding gown!
First looks with bridesmaids and fathers are some of my favs!
I could photograph these two all. day. LONG!
Of course we had to get a few portraits with the trolley!
This cathedral is stunning inside and out!
We quickly snuck outside the venue for some sunset portraits before really getting the party started!
Thank you for the honor of capturing your wedding day!
