On Tuesday evening, the clouds parted and the gods finally smiled down on us to give Katie & Cole the most magical evening for their engagement session! Seriously, we could not have asked for a better night!

Not only was the weather perfect for our session, but having Katie & Cole along for the adventure was a true dream! You won’t find a kinder, funnier, or more genuine couple around, and I am so honored to get to be a part of their wedding celebration!

This is a very busy time in Katie & Cole’s lives. Katie is in between terms in med school – but still studying for major exams. But on Tuesday night all of the planning, weather-worrying, and stress melted away as these two had a chance to take a breath and truly enjoy each other. And how could you not have fun with these two around? Katie’s laugh is simply infectious, especially when Cole is the one making her (and me!) laugh.

We began our session at the ever-lovely Nelson-Atkins Museum! Since we were photographing a day after Memorial Day, most everyone seemed to be spending a relaxing evening at home because we had the sculpture gardens virtually to ourselves!

These two truly have the best smiles!

Our second stop was Loose Park! This time of year, the rose garden is extra stunning with all of its fresh blooms. And we had the most perfect little soft glow of sun!

Katie & Cole brought along a bottle of champagne to celebrate, and they even brought an extra glass for me to enjoy!
