Last week I finally got to meet Rachel & Ben in person for the first time. The cherry on top? We spent the evening celebrating their engagement and capturing memories at the Nelson-Atkins Museum and WWI Memorial! The even better cherry on top? They brought along their sweet bernedoodle Fritz! This pup-muppet was a laugh a minute and so very model-ready (as you will obviously see). ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rachel & Ben have known each other for literal decades! Their relationship sparked at Rachel’s 16th birthday party. Fast forward through a few casual life milestones like high school graduation, college, first jobs, and a new puppy to this March when Ben brought Rachel back to the sight of that auspicious 16th birthday party to ask Rachel for her forever!
I have a feeling life is going to take these two far. But I also know that they’ll always be able to circle back on the values and foundation that have brought them this far.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And special thanks to Posh KC and Maria Morris Makeup for making our girl look extra gorgeous for her photos!!
nelson-atkins museum
Our first stop was the Nelson-Atkins Museum in the Plaza district. We had the sculpture garden practically to ourselves on this lovely Wednesday evening, which meant we could really explore the grounds without interrupting anyone else’s evening!
Yippee! Fritz’s humans are engaged and getting married!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
wwi memorial
Stop #2 was the ever-elegant WWI Memorial! As we arrived, the evening’s perfect sunset was just starting to break through the clouds, and I was thrilled with the glow we got that evening!
cheers to Rachel & Ben!
I cannot wait for your wedding next September! It’s going to be filled to the brim with laughter, fun, and too many unforgettable memories to count 🙂
