Real, raw, radiant photos for the brightest of souls with the biggest of love. Learn more...
On Friday, Macy & Alex tied the knot on a sunny, summery day. Their blue and white-themed wedding at The Guild in Kansas City was simply stunning from start to finish.
Macy & Alex first connected when Macy was accidentally added to a group text chat in high school. That’s right, these two lovebirds are high school sweethearts that have been together for over 7 years! Alex’s texting wit must have impressed Macy because the two soon started chatting separately.
Macy & Alex basically grew up together through high school and college. They’ve been a part of so many milestones together, and their wedding day was the biggest milestone of all. These two tackled planning a pandemic wedding with grace, style, and support for each other. After getting through this season, they’re unstoppable.
Check out some of my favorite moments and memories captured from their gorgeous wedding day!
A huge thank you to the team that made this day extra amazing!

Macy’s “something borrowed” was her mother’s gold bracelet.
This opal pin is a Wehking family heirloom!
Macy & Alex got engaged on the 50 yard line of the Dallas Cowboys’s field!! Alex’s parents live in Dallas and the entire family are huge Cowboys fans. Alex arranged a private tour of the stadium (as you do) and when they reached the field he got down on one knee and asked Macy for forever. This pin was Macy’s “something blue” that she put on her bouquet!
The couple both attended KU, so Macy’s second pair of shoes paid homage to their alma mater 🙂
Alex got ready at home with his groomsmen and the couple’s pup Millie.
Don’t worry, this sweet little nugget will make an appearance later 😉
Macy gifted her bridesmaids little bags customized with each girl’s four favorite things. Macy even got one for herself to commemorate the day!
Now I’m wondering what mine would say…
Our first stop for photos was the River Market area downtown. The market’s glass stalls perfectly complement Macy & Alex’s wedding party look.
Macy hand-picked each of her bridesmaids’ gowns. She wanted to create a beautiful collage of blues and I just LOVE the look that she achieved!
Wild Hill took Macy & Alex’s blue color palette and made absolute MAGIC! I am entirely obsessed with these bouquets with these gowns!!
Our second photo stop was the WWI Memorial, and look who joined us! Sweet cavapoo Millie was so excited to help celebrate her humans’ wedding day 🙂
To commemorate their engagement, Macy & Alex infused elegant shades of blue into their color palette. So when we arrived at the WWI Memorial for portraits I just knew we had to use the building’s gorgeous blue mosaic walls as a backdrop!⠀
Before heading to The Guild for the ceremony, Macy and Alex took a moment to read each other’s vows.
The Guild’s outdoor ceremony space is a stunning, intimate space in the heart of Kansas City’s Crossroads district. It was the perfect backdrop for Macy & Alex to say “I do”.
They’re married!! Time to celebrate 🙂
Macy’s dad made these two this custom shotsky board!
That. Chandelier. Is. Magic!
That’s right, Macy and her dad’s dance included a surprise mash-up!
Your wedding day was pure love and fun and everything you dreamed up. If this is the lemonade you can make out of a pandemic, I can’t wait to see the magic you two create with your lives together!
