Last night, at long last, we celebrated Diana & Randy’s engagement! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Diana & Randy’s love story began with a simple coffee date after meeting online. Let’s just pause and think about that: A marriage is forming because of a tap on an app! When you think about how many tiny details and coincidences and little decisions have to fall into place for two people to fall in love from an app, it’s pretty astounding! And some of my most favorite couples are Bumble Brides and Tinderellas. I just love their serendipity-filled journeys 🙂
Since the rose-tinted beginnings of their relationship Diana & Randy’s engagement season took an unexpected turn this March, like so many couples across the country. Between the stay at home order, ever-busy schedules, and rain forecasts, these two have gotten extra practice at rolling with the punches. Diana & Randy have been spending most of their quarantine free time renovating Randy’s house to get it ready to sell. They’re hoping to buy their first home together in the near future so their two fur sons can finally live under one roof. (Okay, that’s probably not the only reason!)
Diana & Randy’s wedding will be this July, so you can probably guess the roller coaster of emotions they’ve been riding throughout the planning process. To top it off, their engagement session was riddled with turmoil as well! The forecast was literally changing by the *half hour* as we neared their session last night! But thank goodness the rain held off (it literally let loose as I was driving away from the Plaza) and we were able to steal away a few quiet hours celebrating the love and future that these two share.
We began our evening at the unusually deserted Loose Park just off the Plaza. This is my favorite time of year at Loose Park because the rose garden is in full bloom!
Neither Diana nor Randy had ever been to Loose Park before; and thankfully the park put on a good show for them 🙂
Diana’s ring is a custom heirloom piece!
If you know me, you know that Spain holds a special piece of my heart. Strolling among the Plaza’s Sevilla-inspired architecture almost takes me back when I’m feeling a little second homesick.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Diana & Randy are my kindred wanderlust spirits, and Spain is an extra special place for Diana as well! The Plaza’s old world backdrop is the perfect setting to capture their romance and end the evening.
Love love love this!
I cannot wait to keep the celebration going this summer at your wedding!
