Sara & Matt are now officially Mr. & Mrs.!!!

These two lovebirds tied the knot this past sunny September Saturday. It was an unseasonably hot day, but Sara & Matt’s wedding party kept the smiles fresh and fun going during portrait time at the WWI Memorial and Kauffman Center! It was 100% worth the heat, and even Sara & Matt’s pup Chief got to join in on the fun! His Rover handlers kept him entertained in between his 15 minutes of fame, and even brought water to help keep him cool.

After portraits, we headed to Magnolia for a lovely (thankfully shaded!) outdoor ceremony. While Sara & Matt were cooling off and freshening up before their ceremony, I took the opportunity to capture Sara & Matt’s reception decor without any guests in the room. I feel these details are extra important to capture because I know each of my couples put a lot of time, thought, and quite frankly money into their receptions and I want to honor that. Plus, I want my couples to be able to be able to remember every detail of their decor when they look back on their wedding day images in 5, 10, or 50 years!

After the ceremony, Sara & Matt snuck off for a little alone time and some newlywed portraits! We timed it just right because the sun was just beginning to set when we snuck out. I love that Sara & Matt got to have this time to share on their wedding day!

And the fun didn’t stop there! After dinner, toasts, and dances, Sara & Matt joined their guests on the dance floor to party. DJ Max James kept the dance floor full all night long!
