Cooler temps, gorgeous sunsets, and ahhhh the promise of fall 🙂 What could make a Friday night any better? Spending it celebrating Sara & Matt’s engagement, of course! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These two lovebirds are an absolute joy to be around. They’re outgoing, loving, and quick to welcome a stranger into any conversation. That’s probably why their Bumble connection was such a success just a few short years ago. I think we spent the entire session chatting away, and I was legitimately sad when the sun set and we had to part ways!
Sara and Matt are not only planning a wedding (in the middle of a pandemic, mind you) but they’re also building a house together. Their home will be completed this coming spring, giving them enough time to settle in before their wedding next September. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With so much going on in their lives, you’d think these two would be stress or feel stretched too thin. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Sara & Matt seem to walk through life together with utter confidence and ease. Every obstacle they tackle feels like more of an adventure than a barrier. I have a feeling these two are going to rock married life together!
Sara & Matt got engaged at Loose Park (so they’re obvi park people) on a blustery 35° weather day. Matt somehow convinced Sara that their company was having a work picnic that day. Once they arrived, he popped the question, then the newly engaged lovebirds whisked off to Granfalloon to celebrate with their waiting friends and family.
Thankfully, Friday evening was nowhere near 35° temperatures at Shawnee Mission Park! The evening was gorgeous, sunny, and the gentlest breeze kept the air moving and the smiles fresh 🙂 And their wonderful pup Chief got to join us as well!
Chief is the goodest boi in his dapper bandana 🙂
Our second stop was the Nelson-Atkins Museum! As y’all know, this museum’s sculpture garden is hands down my favorite portrait spot in the entire city!
Sara & Matt have only been to the museum once many years ago. On Friday night, the Nelson put on one heck of a good show for these two!
If I could live forever in this gorgeous glow, I would.
Your wedding next September is going to be an absolute blast, I just know it!!
