At long last, Lindsey & Josh finally got to have their engagement session after over three years of being engaged!!
Lindsey & Josh first met at KU. They both studied accounting there, so I like to think they found love in a hopeless place 😉 At least, a hopeless place for a photographer like me!
I just love Lindsey & Josh’s proposal story because it includes some of my favorite things: travel, Paris, and champagne! These two lovebirds got engaged in 2018 in Iceland, on Diamond Beach no less! They were on their way to Paris for a friend’s wedding and planned a layover on the island to visit another country. At their friend’s wedding, they brought home a bottle of champagne. And we got to use that very bottle to cap off their engagement session!
We began our session at the ever-classic Nelson-Atkins Museum. The sculpture garden holds special meaning to Lindsey because of childhood field trips to see the shuttlecocks. We were sure to include these iconic art pieces in a few photos because of it!
Our second stop included another only-in-KC feature: the Scout statue. Because neither Lindsey nor Josh are originally from Kansas City, they really wanted to show off their adopted home in their engagement photos for their friends and family. What better way than the entire Kansas City skyline??
Lindsey’s mom kindly brought their pup Avery along for a few photos. She of course stole the show with her adorable nature 🙂 And at the very end of the evening, we toasted this couple with the bottle of champagne they brought home from their engagement trip!
Can’t get enough of Lindsey & Josh? Check out their wedding day!!
