Cheers to Lauren & Patrick!!
These two lovebirds braved some extreme heat on our adventure last night, but you’d never know it from the smiles on their faces! Who knew 100° heat could look so effortless?
Lauren & Patrick chose two iconic Kansas City landmarks – the Nelson-Atkins Museum and the Kauffman Center – for their engagement session locations. Their wedding day next fall (when it’s much cooler temperatures!) will be an equally elegant affair at the Hilton President Hotel.
The President Hotel holds special meaning to Lauren & Patrick. When they lived in Kansas City, Patrick lived downtown and the two would often plan date nights at the hotel’s historic bar The Drum Room. Naturally, we had to make a final stop there last night for a few photos. I left Lauren & Patrick with cold drinks in hand and a smile on their faces!
I simply love started engagement sessions at the Nelson-Atkins Museum. It sets such an elegant tone with its grand columns and sweeping steps.
Isn’t Lauren’s ring stunning? I just love its band.
Rarely do I get to photograph at the Kauffman Center in this perfect golden hour lighting, so I was so excited to get to last night! The sunset was simply perfect!
When I showed Lauren & Patrick a sneak peek of their images from the back of my camera, we all agreed that this ivy wall was the perfect compliment to their blue outfits!
Our final stop at the Drum Room was the perfect end to the evening! It was surprisingly crowded for a Thursday night, but we found a quiet booth in the corner to order drinks.
Can’t get enough of these lovebirds? Check out their wedding day!!
