April 26, 2022
Bethany & Morgan’s vow renewal / wedding last weekend was a beautiful, elegant, and windy affair. But above all? It was so much fun! These two have an energy and openness that I’ve never seen before, and it’s downright infectious. When you’re around Bethany & Morgan, you know you’re going to have an adventure, and you’re going to have fun along the way.
Their wedding day – 4.22.22 – is actually one day after their one year anniversary! These spontaneous lovebirds decided to get married during the pandemic in the most Bethany-and-Morgan way possible: by eloping to Las Vegas! But they knew they still wanted to have a big party with their dearest friends and family, so they planned a celebration for this spring to bring them all together.
We began the day getting ready at Bethany & Morgan’s venue – UNION 828 in the Crossroads of downtown Kansas City. After a few first looks, each side of the wedding party headed separately to the WWI Memorial for portraits. (Bethany & Morgan didn’t want to see each other before they walked down the aisle!) We knew that Friday would be a windy day (it’s been a windy April here in Kansas City, to be honest) but Bethany & Morgan’s wedding parties were total troopers flexing with the wind gusts! And honestly it created some stunning portraits, so I’m not mad about it 🙂
After a beautiful ceremony, Bethany & Morgan and their wedding party headed up the venue’s rooftop to capture the entire crew together. Then we sent the wedding party back downstairs so Bethany & Morgan could finally enjoy some time together on their (second) wedding day. I just love the portraits we captured for them – especially the ones that play with Bethany’s stunning custom veil!
Bethany & Morgan’s reception was full of delicious Mexican food (Brancato’s guac is probably the best I’ve ever had!), dancing, and more laughter. And we topped it all off with some epic night portraits once again on the rooftop!
A huge thank you to the team that made this day exceptional!
