Cheers to Melissa & Aaron! On Sunday night we finally got to capture their engagement session!

Okay, I shouldn’t say finally like we’d experienced some big delay. They wanted fall photos, so of course we waited until the leaves started to turn. And it was well worth the wait! It’s been months since I first met Melissa, and I was so glad to get to see her again, meet Aaron for the first time, and enjoy a beautiful evening capturing some beautiful moments together. And their pup Oakley even got to join in on the fun!

Together we explored two of my favorite KC spots with me. We started at Loose Park, then ended the evening at the Nelson-Atkins Museum. A winning combination!

Loose Park

This time of year, Loose Park enjoys its second rose bloom. Until becoming a photographer, I didn’t realize that roses could bloom twice in one year. But now I pay attention to such things like rose bloom schedules, fall foliage turning, sunrise and sunset times, etc. That way I can help my couples get the portraits of their dreams!
