Meet Valerie & Alex, two of the sweetest little lovebirds you’ll ever meet!
I had a blast getting to spend a gorgeous Saturday evening with these two doing what I love most: capturing the love and excitement they share for each other during their engagement season!
These two were originally supposed to have their engagement session on a cold, rainy, cloudy, wrap-yourself-in-a-blanket-with-Netflix kind of day. After checking probably every forecast app in the Apple universe to make sure their original day was not going to work, we decided to push back Valerie & Alex’s session to a day forecasted with sunnier skies and warmer temperatures. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And WOW was it worth the wait! This beautiful glow would have never been possible on their original date!
When Valerie & Alex first started dating, Valerie was living in Eudora (her family has lived there for SIX generations!) and Alex was living in downtown Kansas City. Some of their first and favorite dates were in KC. I loved that Valerie & Alex chose to have their engagement session in the heart of KC, where their love began.
Valerie & Alex met in college at KU. They were both marching Jayhawks at the same time, but played different instruments so didn’t interact much. It was actually Alex’s roommate, and mutual friend of Valerie, that brought the two together!
After months of dating, Alex finally popped the question in Eudora. The cherry on top? He invited both of their families (including a surprise visit from Valerie’s brother from the military!) to be a part of the festivities!!
Flexibility is the official sponsor of 2020, and Valerie & Alex make it look effortless. Let’s hope that their engagement session reschedule is the biggest obstacle that these two lovebirds face in their wedding planning! But with Bridal Path Weddings & Events leading the way, I know they’re in great hands 🙂
